Denmark Theatre - There are so many theatres
for you to enjoy a myriad of shows at. Please make
every opportunity to get to as many as you can. You
will enjoy the talent and the immense performances
in the area. At the Det Kongelige Teater The Royal
Theatre there are three stages that hold performances.
The Gamle Scene (Old Stage) at Kongens Nytorv, the
Stærekassen (New Stage) at Tordenskjoldsgade
5, and the Turbinehallerne (Turbine Halls), Adelgade
10. With these three stages they perform classic and
contemporary drama, opera and dance performances.
Another major theatre in the area is the Det
Ny Teater (The New Theatre), Gammel Kongevej
29 (tel: 3325 5075). A very unique theatre is The
Pantomime Theatre in Tivoli and this has a pantomime
show every day from April to July.
To see The Copenhagen Royal Ballet you
will need to go to the Det Kongelige Teater and is
well worth taking in a show. The main theatre for
contemporary dance is Dansescenen, Øster Fælled

Another interesting event in Copenhagen
is the annual Copenhagen Night Film Festival (tel:
3312 0005) which has features films from across the
world. In Copenhagen the cinema is very popular. Two
of the main movie theatres showing the latest blockbusters
and action films are CinemaxX Fisketorvet, Fisketorvet
Shopping Center (tel: 7010 1202), and Imperial, Ved
Vesterport 4 (tel: 7013 1211). You can also see films
at the Cinemateket, Gothersgade 55 (tel: 3374 3412),
and Grand Teatret, Mikkel Bryggers Gade 8 (tel: 3315
1611).
