Denmark Museums - You will want to visit
the museum by the sea that is built like a ship. It
is called the Arken Museum of Modern Art. It is open
Tuesday - Sunday 10 am - 5 pm (Wednesday to 9 pm).
With 300 experiments with sound, light, water currents
and more at the hands-on science museum at the Experimentarium
and it is open Monday - Friday 9 am - 5 pm (Tuesday
to 9 pm), Saturday and Sunday 11 am - 5 pm. At the
Hirschsprungske Collection you will see a display
of paintings and sculptures from the Danish Golden
Age (1800-1850). It is open Wednesday 11 am - 9 pm,
Thursday-Monday 11 am-4 pm. 25 DKr adults, free for
children. Free for everyone on Wednesday.
Another fine museum that you will wish to spend some
time in is the Louisiana Modern Art Museum. This is
one of the best modern art museums in northern Europe.
It is open Daily 10 am-5 pm (Wednesday to 10 pm, when
they host classical music concerts). The Nationalmuseet
(National Museum) is Denmark's main museum
of history. It is also largest museum in Scandinavia.
It is open Tuesday-Sunday 10 am-5 pm (Wednesday to
9 pm). The Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek museum has a stunning
collection of sculpture and also French impressionist
and postimpressionist art. The times that the museum
is open is Tuesday-Sunday 10 am-4 pm.
