take advantage of the museums there are to be seen.
You will want to spend hours in them to admire their
wonderful works of art. The theatre district is fantastic
too with many different offerings. You will have opportunities
to see Operas, Broadway Shows, dance,
art galleries and Ballet and more. Take in as many
of these fantastic shows as you can. The nightlife
in the area is tops as well as the dining experiences.
The city offers some other cultural events also.
The Copenhagen International Jazz Festival

ten days every year in July. The Giant Jazz, is held
in the Circus building and it has some of the world’s
greatest musicians. For music lovers there is the

Another great cultural happening is the Golden
Days in Copenhagen Festival (tel: 3542 1432;

www.goldendays.dk .) It happens in September and there
are concerts, ballet and drama celebrating the Danish
Golden Age (1800-50). The Kulturnatten or Copenhagen
Night of Culture (e-mail: kulturnatten@woco.dk; website:
www.kulturnatten.dk ) is the night (usually in August,
September or October) when you can attend special
events in the city’s museums, galleries, churches,
theatres, concert halls, bookshops and cafés.
You will want to keep these events in mind when you
are considering planning your trip. Try to come to
Copenhagen during one of these special
events to enjoy even more of the cultural aspects
of the city. With all there is to see and do in the
city of Copenhagen you will be more than pleased you
will be ecstatic.
